Personalized Workshops

I offer staff training workshops for teachers, trainers and theatre directors who would like personalized guidance on the techniques described in the book.

The scope and format of the training workshops is flexible according to your specific needs. In a half- or full-day session, I can train staff members directly, or I can work with actors while staff members observe and then debrief the process with them afterward. You can choose to have your hands-on training focus on any or all of the following elements:

• Recruiting a diverse pool of participants
• Conducting non-intimidating auditions
• Establishing an environment of respect, teamwork, and commitment among cast members
• Using found objects to communicate meaning on stage
• Identifying and investigating a topic as a group.
• Turning the raw material of discussion into dynamic dialogue, lyrics and choreography
• Weaving individual performance pieces into a single coherent show
• Coaching young or inexperienced actors in rehearsal.
